Photo Walks, Outings, Workshops and Conventions

The following club events are being arranged for our 2015-2016 Season. Join members on these photo walks, outings, and workshops. Car pooling is recommended.

 

November 21st and 22nd, 2015 – Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival begins. Check festival information here. Several members attend this festival every year, viewing eagles, taking photos, attending workshops, enjoying food and participating in nature walking tours.

January 20, 2016 – Members only Post Processing Night at Rob and Diane’s.

March 20th, 2016 – George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Several members spend a great deal of time shooting migratory birds at this sanctuary throughout the year. Open every day, including holidays, this venue provides a changing variety of birds for each visit.   Check here for location and hrs of operation.

May 27, 2016 – Speakers Series 7 pm at Place Des Arts, 1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam, BC (604-66401636) – Tina Albrecht and Joann Pai, Food Photographers, will demo mobile photography, composition, lighting and styling and offer tips on how to use photoediting apps to make the most of food images. Bring your camera if you want to be a hands-on participant. Purchase tickets $5 plus gst.

June 11, 2016 – Chilliwack’s Pioneer Village. We can also stop in at Granny and Grumpas Antiques, 37936 Wells Line Road. Open daily 9-6. For more information, visit a blog by Funky Junk Donna.

TBA – Create Your Own – Workshop where members can learn to make their own beauty dishes, light tents, etc. Members to sign up in advance with costs to cover supplies.

October 22, 2016 – Abbotsford Photo Arts Club 39th Annual Seminar.
