He went from student to working photographer to instructor at the same institution where he learned his craft. \nEarly in his photography career\, Ethan was active in Delta Photography Club and CAPA\, earned recognition from the North Shore Photographic Society\, and became a CAPA-certified judge. Then he stepped away from the club scene for over a decade\, not because he lost interest\, but to focus on actually doing the work. \nThat work has taken Ethan through underwater\, X-ray\, aerial\, black-and-white fine art\, product\, and architectural photography. His recent projects have earned the 2025 Applied Arts Award for Architectural Photography and honourable mentions from the Black & White International Photo Awards in architecture and sport categories. This will prepare us for another outstanding showing at the 2027 North Shore Challenge event. \n\nLightroom Session 1\nIn last season’s “Black and White Fine Art Architectural Photography” session\, Ethan explained how he meticulously removed every piece of balcony furniture and miscellaneous\, unwanted stuff from an image of a building.  Ethan has both the patience and skill of a Lightroom Master.   \nIn this session\, he will combine the knowledge gained from the “Psychology in Photography” session with his Lightroom expertise to work with both his own images and ones submitted by club members. The session will be tailored to all Lightroom levels from beginner to intermediate to advanced so everyone can learn a few new nuggets.  \nThe Lightroom sessions will focus mainly on colour.  Black & white and colour each have their own approach and workflow\, with some natural overlaps which will be addressed along the way. \nMembers can then work with their images\, do some edits and resubmit to Ethan for review and further discussion at the November session.  \nSubmission deadline for these images will be October 27th.
