Winter home of Snow geese. There are 192 regular bird species on site and 106 casual or accidental visiting bird species. Sanctuary is protected by the Government of Canada, providing a safe refuge of migratory birds. On site there are bird blinds, viewing platforms and a viewing tower.
– All visitors require reservations for parking. Book online up to 3 days ahead. Reserve for morning parking 9:00 – 11:00 am or afternoon parking 1:00 – 3:00pm.
– Admission fees are paid at gift shop.
Adults – $8 Seniors 65+ – $6
Drop in birding talk/tour starts at 10:00am on Sundays, meeting at gift shop. The tour can last to 12:30pm, with casual drop in or out throughout tour.
Bird sanctuary opens at 9:00am. Meet at 9:45 – 10:00am at gift shop.

Location/directions: 13 km west of Ladner. From Ladner follow Ladner Trunk Road (Hwy 10) west to 47A Avenue and on to River Road. Follow River Road westward for 3 km and cross bridge to your right onto Westham Island. Follow main road to driveway/entrance gates.
