Club Meeting – Ethan Zargo: Black & White Fine Art Architectural Photography

Ethan Zargo: Black & White Fine Art Architectural Photography

Ethan Zargo moved to Malaysia as a teenager, earned a computer-engineering degree, and later relocated to Canada and studied photography at Langara College. He went from student to working photographer to instructor at the same institution where he learned his craft.

Early in his photography career, Ethan was active in Delta Photography Club and CAPA, earned recognition from the North Shore Photographic Society, and became a CAPA-certified judge. Then he stepped away from the club scene for over a decade, not because he lost interest, but to focus on actually doing the work.

That work has taken Ethan through underwater, X-ray, aerial, black-and-white fine art, product, and architectural photography. His recent projects have earned the 2025 Applied Arts Award for Architectural Photography and honourable mentions from the Black & White International Photo Awards in architecture and sport categories. Now Ethan is looking forward to reconnecting with the photography community.

Club Meeting – Photoshop Presentation – Submit Your Photos!

Tags :

We’re excited to announce that Steve Kazemir will be leading a special presentation focused on creating composites in Photoshop during our upcoming club meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how multiple images can be artfully combined into a single, cohesive piece using advanced editing techniques.

To make the session as engaging and personalized as possible, Steve is inviting members to submit photos that they would like him to use as examples during the demonstration. These images will serve as the foundation for the composites he’ll build, offering valuable insights into his creative process and technical approach.

📅 Submission Deadline: To ensure he has ample time to prepare, please send your photos no later than October 7th. The earlier you can submit, the better—it gives Steve more flexibility to select and plan around the images.

💬 Got Photoshop Questions? In addition to working on your submitted photos, Steve is happy to address any Photoshop-related questions you might have. Whether it’s about tools, techniques, or troubleshooting, feel free to include your queries when you send your images.

📥 Where to Send Your Photos and Questions: Please email your submissions and questions to competitions@tricityphotoclub.ca.

Also at this meeting, Mona D’Amours will be giving a 30 minute presentation on tips for selecting a photo for competition.
